このアルバムはライブ録音５曲と自主制作盤（The Sax Appeal.VOL.1） から１曲、そして（The Sax Appeal.VOL.2）から１曲の７曲が収められている。
自主制作盤の２曲は今津のオリジナル曲。
その他のライブ録音では誰もがどこかで聴いたことのある馴染み深い曲を演奏している。
いつの頃からか今津はジャズテージでジャズ以外の、例えばポップスやロックのヒット曲、時には日本で流行った歌謡曲などを好んで演奏するようになった。
それは「デイケア・センター慰問演奏」を始めた時期と前後するようにも思う。
童謡や唱歌を演奏することの難しさを語る今津。
『どんな曲でもジャズの魂を込めることは出来るでしょう、でもジャズの範疇から遠ければ遠いほど演奏が困難になる』
『下手するとイージー・リスニング、つまりBGMとして聴かれてしまいますからね、演奏者としてこれほどの屈辱はないと思います』
観客を喜ばせる為だけにいわゆる「誰もが知っている曲」を演奏するのではなく、自分自身の中でジャズとして血肉化したものでなければ演奏家としてジャズ・ミュージシャンとしての誇りや自分を信じる気持ちさえ失ってしまうということなのだろう。
親しみ易い曲を作れることで定評のある今津雅仁にとって、世間で親しみのある曲に対する「ジャズ・ミュージシャンであり続ける一種の矜持」を感じる。
